Wanted: Children to take their place in history! (And in the parade!) Saturday, Sept. 13th Give your child the experience of actually being IN the parade, while onlookers smile and wave! Give Grandparents bragging rights, as their little one strolls down the street with Mom and/or Dad! We have just been assigned our position at the beginning of the parade (right behind the Cape Cod Baseball League- and Wally the Green Monster- which means that we will be finished almost first, and can step back and enjoy watching the whole rest of the parade. We have reserved parking out behind the Wing School, and will assemble at the Sandwich Community School of Early Learning parking lot at noon (after noon, all the roads surrounding the parade route will begin to close). Children will be free to play on the Wing School Playground, have lunch on the picnic tables there, and then be ready to “step off” at 12:45, into all the excitement of being in Sandwich’s Grand Parade! What do you need to do to join in the fun? Be ready to walk the short parade route with your child! Families are encouraged to decorate their stroller or wagon. No time prior to the Parade? Contact us and we will bring pinwheels and other supplies to the parking area so you may decorate while waiting for the parade to begin. Let us know you are planning on coming, and to receive the parking code for your place in the parade @ [email protected] by Friday!
