Wanted: Unit Representatives Sault Ste. Marie, MI…It’s unfortunate that a tiger doesn’t change its stripes. Once it’s a tiger it’s a tiger, it’s a tiger, and it’s a tiger… So it is with our unit representatives. Darcy Chase Morrow and her mother Denise Chase have been tigers of a certain stripe for years. Chase worked closely with former unit representative Tom Miller for years…she’s understands his remark about his work for the tribe as easy money. She’s been in the easy money for years and she’s helped her daughter Darcy Morrow with being in it too. It’s not a coincidence that she was the manager of the St. Ignace casino and that she is now the unit representative along with her mother in unit three of Manistique... …what do you think? What about unit representative Abramson of unit one of the Soo…will she step out and show you that she has truly changed her stripes? Or will she continue to set on the fence? …don’t hold your breath? Or for that matter, unit representative Malloy: shes not as squeaking clean as she once was....? Chair Payment needs to look for some new people to serve on the board. Perhaps he could advertise the board position in the tribal newspaper and he could put a panel together to interview people, young and old, who are interested in serving in tribal government and who are interested at the same time in bringing an end to the corruption that has plagued it for years, and, who will work to implement the new constitution and bring in a n era of effective, responsible and ethical leadership. Wanted: Units Representatives Positions available in units 1 thru 5 (Soo, Hessel, Manistigue, Escanabl, Newberry, Munising and Marquette) Pay: $67, 000, 00 a year plus a benefit’s package to include retirement Apply to Aaron Payment, Chairperson of the Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians (at such and such an address or email or phone number) Interviews to be conducted by a panel composed of so-and-so There is a strong likelihood that there are individuals out there who would appreciate the opportunity, and, who with the right support, would help to get rid of some of those fence sitting directors on the board. Thank you, Charles Forgrave
