Wanted to share, One of the latest letters sent to us by a customer: 😊 Hello, Yesterday on our flight from Los Angeles to New York, my girlfriend an I had a stop-over in Chicago for an hour. With a delay because of rain, that turned into 5 hours. We went into the city on the Orange line and because my brother had visited your restaurant on his trip and raved about the food, we thought wed eat at your restaurant. We arrived around 4:30pm and loved how many vegetarian options there were. My girlfriend who has Russian heritage was looking forward to trying so many dishes. A few minutes after we ordered our meal, we were notified that our flight was no longer delayed until 8pm, but would be leaving at 5:40pm instead. We informed the server and he said nothing, but grabbed the food from the table and walked into the back. We felt terrible and paid our bill quickly. The server handed my girlfriend a bag of whatever food was ready and we raced to the airport, trying to make it to our flight which was leaving in 40 minutes. I dont know how we did it, but we managed to make our flight in time, and with all the commotion, only after the plane was in the air did we look at our bag of food. Inside, our server had carefully wrapped up the complimentary bread, ensured our soup was sealed, and packed up every dish we ordered along with sour cream and butter. It was such a wonderfully unexpected surprise and it made our day. We couldnt have made our servers job any harder if we tried, and yet we got food ready in what seemed like 5 minutes. I know, its a long story, but I just wanted to let you know what happened and how appreciative we were. When we make our next stop in Chicago (for a real trip), well make a point of visiting and eating in your restaurant. Thank you, N.M. P.S. - The rye bread and piroshkies were amazing!
