Wanted to share a beautiful post with you all, written yesterday by Debbie Panelli, our Director of Care. We mean it when we say this place was created for ALL ages and ALL abilities to enjoy!: Every day at Tatums Garden is a joy in one way or another. Today after spending two hours with the wonderful group from Hope Services, cleaning and hauling bark dust, I had another special treat. The Windsor Ridge Rehabilitation unit pulled up and unloaded the most delightful group of elders. Four ladies in wheelchairs and one gentleman in a walker. They had smiles from ear to ear and were so sweet to me. Each wanted a hug and asked me to join their Kentucky FriedChicken lunch picnic. The handicap accessible tables our community built for their wheel chairs tickled them all. They loved watching the children play and thought the sun was a gift from the heavens. Their two lovely caregivers made them visors out of paper plates and served each one, like it was a holiday dinner. Of course, I found a tear sting my eyes, as I once again find myself so grateful to be a part of this gift that keeps on giving. Happy Wednesday Everyone!
