Wanted to share a little bit of my personal practice. Not only do I begin every meditation, working, or ritual with the following words, but I also begin each morning with purpose by saying them. On the rare occasion that I neglect to perform this invocation, I know it by the tone and feel of the day. Colors are bit less vivid, everything seems metaphorically washed grey. As much as Liber Resh helps me connect with natural rhythms and cycles of the universe around me throughout the day, this invocation helps me connect with my mother and myself, for I am within her as she is within me. There is no other way I have found to straddle the beast of chaos. ******************************************************* Holy Mother Babalon, Mother of Abominations Great Mystery I invoke thee I invoke thee from the East I invoke thee from Air; I invoke thy sword and steel intelligence. I raise thy banner and set reason to flame. I light thy flame and pour passion like water. (intone secret word) Holy Mother Babalon, Mother of Abominations Great Mystery I invoke thee I invoke thee from the North I invoke thee of Earth; I invoke thy fertility and form I dig foundations for the falling ones hidden away.
