Wanted to share an update on Willow- just got off the phone with Michelle. She went to her vet this morning to get acquainted and for a review of her condition. Michelles vet doesnt feel that the barium X-ray for Willow is clear enough to tell whether or not she has PRAA (persistent right aortic arch- a band that forms around the esophagus from the aorta). She is going to do some research to determine if a 3 hour barium study would be best or is she should just do a scope. IF it is PRAA, Michelles vet will do the surgery to clip it so that it wont restrict her esophagus. If not, they will continue treatment as is. The surgery for PRAA is typically dangerous and extremely costly. Obviosly, Michelle shared Willow & Milas story with her, and she was amazed at the kindness, caring and compassion of everyone involved in making sure these girls were safe. She is not going to charge anything for any of Willows vetting- not for her visit, her diagnostic studies, or in the event that it is PRAA, she wont even charge for the surgery!!! Can you believe that?! Yesterday, Michelle went to her local pet store and was talking to a woman there who also works with her vet. She gave Willow a whole new wardrobe on them! And offered to set something up in the store to promote megaE awareness. See.... good karma does exist! I hope Mila finds the same amazing things in her journey!!! I dont want anyone to think we have forgotten about her, I am reviewing apps as I can with everything going on. I want to make sure her home is PERFECT!
