Wanted to share this story from the Dodge County Tribe Scribe about one of my former youth (but still my kid lol) Hope Elizabeth Belflower. Daughter of Ted Belflower and Lori Brown Belflower. Sooooo very proud of this girl. Belflower earns academic honor By John McCoy A thirst for knowledge and self- motivation are two of the many things that help make a student exceptional. the April Academic Student of the Month, Hope Belflower, is no stranger to outstanding academic achievement. Hope, the daughter of Lori and Ted Belflower, is a freshman at DCHS. “I really felt honored because not win awards like these,” said Belflower, who added that the award came to her as a thrilling surprise. Belflower’s favorite class, gifted literature, is taught by her favorite teacher, Brande Vaughn. “I like this class so much because I really enjoy reading, and she makes it fun and interesting.” Vaughn, who was excited for her student, stated “I’m really proud of Hope and how she adjusted so quickly in moving schools.” She continued to say, “She has done really well academically with One Act Play. I’m excited to see what she does next.” Belflower is a member of First Baptist Church. She enjoys playing basketball, hanging out with her friends, and being with her family, including her brother.
