Wanted to take a moment to answer a common question Ive been hearing since my #Kickstarter launched. I realize not everyone is aware of its use and are tech geeks such as myself. Short story is I put most of my savings from working in advertising, into this film because I was passionate about it. Realizing what it would cost to actually be able to shoot it continuously for 3 weeks to a month, I knew my funds would run very short. So being an independent filmmaker I took a certain route to raise crowd funding to help me finish my film, equipment rentals, SAG talent (whom I know a couple prominent actors who are interested in being in this film) etc and prepare it for Festival submissions next year and maybe a distribution deal. Kickstarter works by allowing peers to pledge amounts ranging from $1 to $10,000 in order to help an artist reach his goal. You will not be charged a cent until the campaign ends, and ONLY if it reaches its goal. You all have been tremendous in sharing the campaign, and as I said I would never approach you seeking funding, instead I word it as check out the project and if you see the passion and want to be apart of it, know that any amount you pledge, EVEN a dollar, helps the filmmaker in a big way, helping me gain popularity and possible funding.
