Wanted to update everyone regarding Ms. Gracie-Pearl since there’s been such an outpouring of interest regarding her rescue. I met the volunteer who kept her Friday night in Devore yesterday and Gracie slept all the way back to San Clemente without a peep. She met all the dogs in my house no problem, explored the yard with Miley and Diamond, then came in, selected a dog bed away from the fray and has been sleeping pretty much non-stop since. She ate lunch and dinner with gusto and has not had any pooping issues so could be she was just stressed. She’s moving well for a senior .. I think she’s 10-12 yrs .. so could be the extreme cold in Apple Valley was just too much for her. Very nice dog .. quiet, well mannered .. looks like she’s had a hard life .. her fur is very coarse, she does not come up for any attention so is not used to being loved, and she never smiles .. hoping to get a smile from her before she leaves. She’s going to foster care with one of our prior adopters and will live the life of Riley in Ramona with Fetti and Happy (Dexter’s brother). I’m driving her down there on Wed. So she’ll have a lovely Christmas. Isn’t that nice. Another pretty girl saved. Yay!
