Wanto update! Hes doing very, very well. Hes already putting weight on the leg and moving around, eating his regular diet- which is being supplemented with additional protein and calories to help the healing process along-and drinking lots of liquids, including his favorite, Blue Ice-flavored Gatorade. Hes taking pain medication to combat any post-surgical soreness and discomfort and antibiotics as a precaution to prevent infection. He has post-op swelling, too. Heres a photo taken by one of his keepers of him this morning-still handsome, despite just having had major surgery! The other shows his leg post-surgery. (The largest incision is on the top of the thigh.)
