War on woman: Sarah Palin. Loathed and reviled for her combination of gender and politics. First female governor of Alaska - from the grass roots. She made major and popular bureaucratic reforms finally happen, kicked out the good ol boy Republican crony network,and left her state financially much better off than when she found it. She also correctly predicted the Russian land grab in Crimea. A fabulous example of achievement (female or otherwise) in politics. AND - she believes that personal liberty (as in womens) is the cornerstone of this country. Here is a typical potshot as late night host David Letterman jokes about a grown man raping her little girl (Willow - at the time just 14 years old). Imagine if the joke was on Joe Biden. Not as funny when its father/daughter? or does his party affiliation offer him immunity from such public vitriol? Compare and contrast the roles and powers of gender (on both sides) in politics. And do we as a society owe Mrs. Palin an apology? - big persons table only please.
