Ward Bond 1903-1960 Ward Bond was featured in movies from the Big Trail to the Maltese Falcon . His iconic face is as recognizable to the world as that of John Wayne. Whether he protrayed a bombadier pilot in A Guy Named Joe or a freighter in Rio Bravo he was believeable and likeable. He acted opposite such greats as Clarke Gable, Henry Fonda, Spenser Tracey, Humphrey Bogart and John Wayne. To us we remeber him most fondly as Father Peter Lonergan, Parish Priest. To most folks my age we remember him readily as the forthright and not to be trifled with, Maj. Seth Adams. What ever role he played he will always be our Ward Bond
