Warm greetings from WTY-Lahore...!!! “Tuesday’s barbaric attack by Taliban militants on the Army Public School killing 141 innocent students and teachers has left the entire country enveloped in a thick shroud of silence and grief”. In order to condemn the brutal attack by the Taliban, and express solidarity with the victim families of the martyred children and teachers, WTY and its partners plans to organize a Peace Walk on Sunday December 21, 2014 at two different places. The first walk will take place at Ferozepur Road (Fazilia Colony to Lahore) at 12:00 p.m., whereas the 2nd walk on the same day will be organized at Naseerabad in front of St. Peters School at 3:00 p.m. We warmly invite all like-minded organizations, groups and individuals to join us along with the school students to join us, and let us together voice out showing our solidarity, showing our national and human spirit to the victim families that we are all together, because it is not a matter of individual trauma or individual loss, it’s a collective and national loss. Let us express that our hearts are burdened with sorrow and grief on those little flowers which withered away before blooming, on those lives, which brought to death before living. Together, we can make a way forward for a prosperous, peaceful and just Pakistan. We keenly look forward to seeing you in the peace walk. God Bless Pakistan.
