Warm greetings to each and everyone of you.... Winter holidays have officially kick started, and I hope that each and everyone of you travelling home arrived safe and sound. The first semester was characterised by plenty of trail-error situations as we were all trying to get well acquainted to eachother. However, our primary role is to strive and ensure that Riversend is a peaceful and conducive environment for teaching, learning and research at all times in pursiut of academic exellence. Furthermore, our aim is to ensure that your stay at residence is a memorable journey by encouraging maximum participation on extra-mural activities which will thereafter mould a well rounded DUT graduate and citizen. However; let us remind eachother that, growth, maturity and independence is culminated by unwavering strides of responsibility and self control. With that said, we hope that the bond and unity we have been able to ignite during the 1st semester will manifest itself during the 2nd semester. Well done to all of those who have done exceptionally well for your exams and we hope that those who have not done so well will improve during the forthcoming semester. Moreover, may we also congratulate and thank all those students who participate in all the residence programmes, please keep up the good work and we also encourage those who do not participate to please join us in the forthcoming semester. In conclusion, on behalf of all my colleagues and the entire leadership team of Riversend Residence, we wish u warm and happy holidays. Let us all (474 students) come back rejuvenated and inspired to pursue our academic activities with maximum deligency and enthusiasm. Cheers...........
