***Warming up- not glamorous, not particularly fun and certainly not something you can brag about. However the key to continued results is LONGEVITY. Remaining injury-free(and enthusiastic!) is an obvious requirement if you wish to continue to improve in the long-term Warming up is vital. Prepare your Rotator Cuffs(windmills will suffice), elbows and triceps prior to pressing movements, your Rotator Cuffs, elbows and biceps prior to pulling movements. If its legs days then pay attention to your ankles, knees and hips(from multiple directions). After 15 years of time spent in gyms its become clear to me that those that take just 3-5 minutes prior to lifting a weight, to prepare the body, suffer far less injuries. Ive witnessed plenty of instances where people have regretted warming up and torn/strained muscles and damaged connective tissue.
