Warning --- Graphic pictures!!! We are excited to announce that ALL of the adoptable kitties at Spalding County Animal Shelter were spayed/neutered and microchipped today. A BIG thank you to Vickie Hennessy, Happy Tails Humane, and all of the shelter staff for making a difference in their lives. Next, we want to share with you two top reasons you should inspect your pets mouth. Dogs like to chew and many times they chew sticks. One of the attached pictures shows how sticks can become imbedded in the roof of a dogs mouth and the damage it causes including eroding teeth. The next picture is of a large tumor in cats mouth. The tumor extended to the back of the throat. It was very painful and caused the cat to lose a lot of weight. So remember to check your pets mouth regularly!
