Warning - good idea status! I was at Denver Citadel on Sunday and the World Services Sergeant (Tyler Griffin) made a great appeal. He had the small giving boxes available at the end of the meeting, but during the meeting talked to us and referred us to a piece of paper with the following easy suggestions on it: Monday - give 5 cents for every time you left your house by car this week Tuesday - give 25 cents for each trip to the grocery store this week Wednesday - give 10 cents per day that you were able to use electricity Thursday - give 20 cents for every day you had clean water Friday - give 25 cents for every day you were able to heat your house Saturday - give 20 cents for every shower you were able to take Sunday - give $1 if you were able to attend church That not only starts to add up but it also encourages gratitude for the things we have so readily available to us.
