Warning- soap box rant coming up. I work with thousands of women weekly in hope to get them to see they are #goodenough as they are. They ARE pretty enough, they ARE smart enough, they ARE worthy, they ARE deserving of living a happy life. I can work with the women God sends my way all day long...but if in schools little girls are being told they are bad for having a hard time focusing then what message does the little girl hear? She hears, I am bad. My teacher says Im a bad girl. She didnt hear she had a hard time focusing...she heard YOU ARE BAD. So she then believes it. Geez o pete America- wake up!!!! You want change? You want little girls to stop developing eating disorders in order to feel thin or pretty enough? You want little girls to stop trying to fit in by whatever means possible in school? You want young women to stop the self hate on their bodies? Then how about WE (yes- you and me) start reminding them as children they are GOOD ENOUGH. Actions and choices can be the wrong decision, they are not defined as bad. #SteppingDown #RantIsSemiOver
