Warning I am on my soap box: I had someone send me a private message basically degrading the Miss MS Corporation, Miss America Organization, the young women competing and my involvement with these organizations...so let me set the record straight! While the Miss America Organization is a pageant it is also the worlds largest provided of scholarships to young women (miss ms alone awarded over $1 million in scholarships Saturday night), this organization provides women with tools to be successful in life (these young women become well reversed in the world, politics, current events, and so much more...they gain communication & public speaking skills, they learn to be confident in their own skin, they are beautiful, they are talented, and they all support a cause bigger than themselves through their platform)...I choose to be part of this organization because I believe it!!! I have seen young girls transformed before my eyes into young women and over the past 10 years its been my absolute pleasure to have welcomed all these young ladies into my home and family! I pray my lasting legacy will be one of love, support, encouragement and hope...because I do believe these girls are better for having been part of this organization and I know Im better person by just knowing this remarkable young women!
