Warning: long vent post. If you like sunshine and unicorns, skip this one! Ok, so those of you who have followed me for any length of time know I go through bouts of depression and anxiety. Im afraid Im entering a big one right now. I started out today with a headache that never quite went away. We spent the day doing the grocery shopping and errands. Then I put away laundry and started food prep. I just feel like I have an avalanche of things that need to be done. My house is such a mess that I can barely stand it. The new dog sheds like crazy, and there is fur everywhere. And with everything going on, about the only cleaning Im getting done is the kitchen each night. And even that still needs work! We dont have the tree up, our outdoor lights are half done, and very few of my holiday decorations are out. I havent decided what to get my teaching partner and aides for Christmas, or what to do for my kids teachers. I need to get my oldest in for a doctors appointment in the next two weeks so they will renew his prescription. I just feel overwhelmed! I need to run. But to add to the madness, its time to taper for the half next weekend! Ugh! So, Im going to try to look at the bright side. I did get breakfast for the week prepped. I got the strawberries and grapes cleaned and portioned. I prepped for turkey taco salads for lunches and have chili leftovers too. And the weekly meal plan for dinners is set and the shopping done. The laundry is mostly caught up and we have clean sheets on the bed. The Christmas kitchen towels are out. I did accomplish a lot. And I will just have to chip away at the rest as I can. I have 9 more teaching days to Christmas break. I can do this.
