Warning...rant alert!!...while watching a repeat of the Today programme on RTE 1(morning tv!) there was a whole section to a guy promoting his book on what happens when you die....He tirelessly interviewed 100 people on their experience of dying(yet coming back!?)....Feelings of intense love/peace etc quickly became tales of a spiritual experience and then into a superior religious creator/being accepting them, Its Jesus/Allah/Krishna/Easter bunny depending on your own individual beliefs. All the while assuring viewers that studies have shown all this to be true!...No mention of which studies,who carried them out and what controls were in place, Despite this guy having no scientific training and relying on his own and 100 other personal experiences Both presenters drooled over and re-enforced this guys superstitious nonsense by not questioning or even asking inquisitively about this book!.....Just nodding in agreement!..I know that its RTE and to be expected from a broadcaster that stops at 6pm to respect one religious sects rituals, but can their producers not come up with any meaningful ideas?...deal with important issues?...homelessness,bullying, racisim, anything that actually impacts their daily life!!..Why promote such nonsense??....IDIOTS!!!....anyway Im grumpy and a cant rant at the dog so FB gets it instead!!
