Warning sentimental post ahead: Im not sure if youve noticed all - TopicsExpress

Warning sentimental post ahead: Im not sure if youve noticed all the needless and, frankly, asinine behavior of a few in this business, but I hate it so much I felt driven to try to put some happy feelings into the world. First, I absolutely love and appreciate ALL my readers, even the insatiable ones who message me constantly about release dates and details, even the ones who message me criticism about certain characters or certain gut-wrenching endings If you are invested enough to message me, Ive done my job and could never feel burdened by any of you. YOU make doing what I love possible, and for that, I could never give you enough thanks. Second, any profession on this earth has a few bad apples. Some are more rotten and stinking than others, of course. But giving attention to those seeking it only gives them an audience to spew their hate and vitriol. My humble advice here is walk, nay, RUN away cause this disease is infectious! On the flip side, I have met some of the most incredible and giving people in this business. Im constantly thrilled by the connections Im making with readers and fellow authors. To say Im truly humbled and INSPIRED by the talent and creativity that these readers and authors display is a vast understatement. Third, any level of success I achieve in this business is beyond anything I ever expected. Why? Because I write for me, from my soul, for my characters, and to tell their stories. I expect NOTHING, and I appreciate EVERYTHING! Having this philosophy has gotten me through more than a few tough times. Because even though I firmly follow this line of thought, I am merely human and sometimes I get dinged up by negativity, BUT it never wrecks me. Finally, THANK YOU! Thank you for reading my books and supporting my books. Although I initially write for me, my hope is that, when I release my blood, sweat, and tears into the world, you connect to my work and it feeds your soul too. That connection is all I ever dreamt about, so if thats you, I love you and appreciate you! Reading and supporting books and their authors should be fun and fulfilling. Anything that doesnt grow us and enrich us simply needs to die a quick, quiet death. Much love, Lynetta
