Warri Ofego Episode Four Ofego rushed into the streets with only boxer on his waist in search of his clothes. He searched and searched but could not find them. He was about giving up when he stopped to reminisce; Why is all this happening to me? Ofego why is this happening to you of all people. Person wake up for him own town no be say na another person own o. He say make he go hustle, them kidnap am. Kidnap am come Warri, of all places. Warri wey dey try to make friend with peace. Okay, he manage escape. wan come sleep for night. He sleep for under bridge wake up, NAKED! Warri, why? Why, Warri? Why???? As he was saying Warri, Why, he sighted his clothes on someone who was walking by. He rushed down to the person and realised that it was the man that he paid money to, before sleeping on the bottom of the bridge. He seized him and said; So, na you? So, na me wetin? The man asked, posing stylishly. I think am. So na you thief my suit and trouser. You no even fear, you come wear them instead of to sell them. Mumu na you be. Give me my suit and trouser back jor. Ofego said. Na you get them? The man asked. Yes na, you no see them for my body when i pay you to sleep for under the bridge last night?? Ofego asked. I no see anything. If them be your own, where their receipt say them be your own? He asked. Ofego said; Okrika still dey get receipt, give me my clothes back jor. If you nor give me this clothes back now eh, I go faint for you now. The man replied; You go kill me put o. I no go pull them give you. You no go pull them give me, that means i go shout thief na. Ofego said. Shout thief, na your self you do. The man adviced. Ofego shouted; Thief! Thief!! Crowd gathered; Where am, where am? Na him be this, the man said, he wan thief my new suit and trouser. Ofego muttered; No! No! Na me get them. Before Ofego could explain, he was taken into a corner by some ASAWANA and beaten thoroughly. He was almost burnt to death with kerosene, tyre and matches if not that he escaped along with the kerosene, tyre and matches. As he was escaping with the two litres of kerosene, he sold it to a roadside dealer and took a bike out of that area with the money. Ofego alighted the bike at a desolated area, somewhere called Olodi street, far from where he would have been burnt. As the bike dropped him and rode off, he breathed a sigh of relieve; I thank the Lord. So, that was how I would been burnt to death like ALUU 4 Mine would have been ALUU 5 and Nollywood would have used it for a movie, God forbid! Thank God I escaped. Na so person take dey delete comot from this world. I dont need the suit and trouser again, he should take them. Inshort, I present it to him as his birthday gift. Let me go and find something else to put on. Ofego said walking away. Night fell, and Ofego had not seen anything to put on. As he was walking pass a compound, through the dark, he saw some clothes on a rope and tip toed down, took one, ran off into a corner and puts it on. In the morning, as he was walking by a street on his new shirt, he saw, through a car mirror, he was putting on a night gown.........To Be Continued. Watch Out For Episode Five!
