Was Jesus (as) the Son, God, or a Prophet of GOD? Whenever I - TopicsExpress

Was Jesus (as) the Son, God, or a Prophet of GOD? Whenever I ask some of Christian friends to find me any passage throughout the Bible saying Jesus is GOD, they aren?t able to do and start explaining me all kinds of stuff which lead to that conclusion (by their interpretations). If Jesus was God and why he simply wouldnt say: I, Jesus, am God and you must worship me? but instead we find passages like these: Why do you call me good?? answered Jesus, No-one is good but God alone! (Matthew 19:16-17 & Mark 6:10). If I was from the Christian belief, now would be the best time to create interpretations, and try to explain this passage in all kinds of ways... but under the Islamic point of view it is 100% true and logical, ONLY God alone is good and perfect, not even Jesus (as Jesus (as) said, not me!). I challenge anybody to give me only ONE passage in the WHOLE Bible where Jesus is saying I AM GOD, WORSHIP ME! No interpretations please, pure simple passage please, as clear as the Quran:They have adopted their scholars and monks as lords besides God and (also) Christ, the son of Mary, although they have been ordered to serve only God alone. There is no god but Him. Glory be to Him! He is beyond what they associate (with Him).... (Quran 9:31) So what does Muslims (people that submit to the will of God...) believe? They believe that there is only one God and Mohammad is his current time and final Messenger. Why not Jesus as his messenger? Well it is simple, we DO believe in Jesus and his message, but right now Jesus Original message has been lost (according to 90% of Christian Scholars, said by the Vatican, and known encyclopedia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bible_and_history). So thats why another scripture has been sent to earth threw Mohammad which remains unchanged threw Tones of proofs. So we live right now in the era of Mohammad (pbuh) since he is the latest prophet and the last one as proven and prophesized in the Bible. Therefore, a Muslim (submitter to God) must testify that there is only one God and Mohammad is his Messenger. In the time of Jesus (as) guess what?!??! A Muslim (submitter to God) had to say the same thing: I testify that there is only one god and JESUS (as) is his messenger and the same thing for each other prophet before who always had the same message... And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God and Jesus Christ whom thou has sent (John 17:3) How clearer can it be? And just to show you guys how much Jesus (as) supported this message of Islam (submitters to the way of life GOD wants us to live on Earth) read this passage: Of all the commandments, which is the most important?? The most important one, answered Jesus, is this: Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. (Mark 12:28-30). What about himself? Jesus didnt even include himself nor the concept of trinity! Notice that Jesus was quoting the first commandment from the book of Deuteronomy 6:4-5. Jesus confirmed not only that this commandment is still valid, but also that it is the most important of all the commandments. If Jesus thought that he himself is God, why did not he say so? Instead, he stressed that God is one. The man who questioned Jesus understood this, and what the man says next makes it clear that God is not Jesus, for he said to Jesus: Well said, teacher, the man replied. ?You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but Him. (Mark 12:32). Just to note, Jesus (as) said there is no other but Him, in Arabic this is read: La ilaha ila Allah which is EXACTLY the statement needed to be said to revert to Islam (religion of submission to God, the same God Jesus is worshiping, we worship Him too!), followed by Muhammad Rasoul Allah which means: and Mohammad (pbuh) his messenger as we live in the era of Mohammad (pbuh) (someone in the era of Noah would of ended by and Noah the massager of God). As you can see Islam has always existed, it is only pure, simple and logical way of life God has always prescribed upon us. Now if Jesus was God, he would have told the man so. Instead, he let the man refer to God as someone other than Jesus, and he even saw that the man had spoken wisely: When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, You are not far from the kingdom of God.Ҕ (Mark 12:34). If Jesus knew that God is a trinity, why did not he say so? Why did not he say that God is one in three, or three in one? Instead, he declared that God is one. True imitators of Jesus will imitate him also in this declaration of God?s oneness (Islam). They will not add the word three where Jesus never said it. Does salvation depend on this commandment? Yes, says the Bible! Remember this passage mentioned earlier? (matthew 19:16-17 & Mark 10:17-29). The man fell on his knees and said to Jesus: Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?? Jesus replied: Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone. (Mark 10:17-18). Well by saying so, again, Jesus made a clear distinction between himself and God. Then he proceeded with the answer to the mans question about how to get salvation. Jesus told him: If you want to enter life, obey the commandments. (Matthew 19:17, also see Mark 10:19). Remember that the most important of all the commandments, according to Jesus, is to know God as the only God. Jesus further emphasized this in the Gospel According to John. In John 17:1, Jesus lifted his eyes to heaven and prayed, addressing God as Father. Then in verse three, he said to God as follows: ?Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.? (John 17:3). This proves beyond doubt that if people want to get eternal life they must know that the One, whom Jesus was praying to, is the only true God, and they must know that Jesus was sent by the true God. Some say that the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Ghost is God. But Jesus said that the Father alone is the only true God. True followers of Jesus will follow him in this too. And by the way his followers weren?t called Christians, they were called people of the way! What way? The way of God! And if we translate this in Arabic, it is says: Deen al Islam, which Muslims all around the world follow. Jesus had said that his true followers are those who hold to his teachings. He said: ?If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.? (John 8:31). His teaching is that people must continue to keep the commandments, especially the first commandment which emphasizes that God is alone, and that God should be loved with all our hearts and all our strengths. Why today every Christian I meet and ask them if God is One they always tell its false, he is 3, its so confusing that many Christian Scholars abandoned the explanation of this concept, created 300 years after Jesus, and conclude: this is something we just cannot explain which gives beauty to our religion (!??!) beautifull?. We, Muslims, love Jesus, but we must not love him as God. HE taught us not to do so. Today many love Jesus more than they love God. And pray in Jesus name when he said not to do so. Yet God is our only savior. According to Isaiah 43:11, God said: I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from me there is no savior. Also God said according to Isaiah 45:21-22: Was it not I, the LORD? And there is no God apart from me >, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none but me. Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other. Did he say we? Did he say believe in the sacrifice of my only son for you to be saved?? He simply said, I am one, believe in me and you will be saved! If you read the whole bible under the principal that God is One and Jesus is conveying his message of salvation, you would realize it makes alot more sense? The Quran confirms the first commandment and addresses it to all humankind And your Allah is One Allah. There is no god but He, Most Gracious, Most Merciful (Holy Quran 2:163). And God declares that true believers love Him more than anyone else or anything else: Yet there are men who take (for worship) others besides Allah, as equal with Allah. They love them as they should love Allah. But those of Faith are overflowing in their love for Allah. If only the unrighteous could see, behold, they would see the penalty: that to Allah belongs all power, and Allah will strongly enforce the penalty (Quran 2:165)? and just a reminder, Allah means God, just as Arab Christians call Jesus (as) Allah! Which is a grave mistake? After all it is written in the Bible (Luke 3:36) Enos was the son of Seth, and Seth was the son of Adam, and Adam was the son of God. So is it Jesus or Adam the son of God??? Not because its written Son of God it means its his SON as we know it, it simply means his truthfull follower. Then they start explaining me the famous Trinity. So they start telling me it is 3 in 1 but one cannot be without the other 2 and so on; the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Now I would like to quote a passage that might confuse a couple of people: My father and your father, my God and your God (John 20:17)...reflect.... k, Ill help you guys! Apparently in this passage Jesus (as) said that god is our father! What does that mean, that we are sons too? Lets look further in the Bible what it is written in (1John 3:1) Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. or maybe this passage might ring a bell... For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God (Romans 8:14) ....reflect...! It is clearly stated and cannot be clearer than that; one who is lead by God is called son of GOD. Other examples: Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God. (Matthew 5:9) , Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD (Job 2). We shouldnt always take the words to their meanings, as their true meanings might be explained in the Bible itself. Once you understand the meaning of Son of God, then the other passages of the Bible start to make sense, such as: (Luke 3:36) Enos was the son of Seth, and Seth was the son of Adam, and Adam was the son of God. Therefore, we conclude Adam was a true follower of God (a Muslim, a submitter), cause if we would remain in the distorted way of thinking, we would then conclude God have 2 sons Adam and Jesus!!! That wouldnt make sense wouldnt it...? Jesus (as) was one of the greatest prophets born miraculously just like Adam as a sign of God, who was a great messenger revealing the truth! And those who did not believe in Jesus, are the dwellers of hellfire, his words were the words of GOD The One, But now you seek to kill me, a man that had told you the truth, which I heard of God (John 8:40). Jesus is making a clear distinction between him and his lord, which is conveying him the message. If he was God why wouldnt he say so!!! He says at numerous places that he is the only way for salvation, he is the truth, and so on? Muslims believe him 100%, all prophets of God lead us towards salvation! We must not follow our emotions but seek the truth threw knowledge and common sense To my dear Christian brothers and sisters in faith (family since our faiths come from Abraham (as)), you mustnt act the same way as the Jews acted when they refused Jesus (as)! They were emotionally attached to their beliefs which led them to refusing all future messengers because of there emotional attachment and lack of open heart towards seeking knowledge and truth. If we would talk to a Jew we would tell him, go read The New Testament and all the great things Jesus (as) did, and we would WISH for him to do so since WE DO KNOW how great Jesus (as) was and how his teachings changed the world! But then again, ONLY the true seekers of truth would be open enough to seek blindly at start this unknown knowledge going against their hearts (because they are attached to their Old Testament, traditions, and family beliefs) which will finally lead them towards accepting Jesus (as) and the true salvation. When you start to understand Islam, the pieces of the puzzle start showing you the clear picture, Islam creates the link between all nations, faiths and races...as Malcolm X said: America needs to understand Islam, because this is the one religion that erases from its society the race problem Further questions.......... If Jesus is God, why were his disciples never called a *Prophet* ? Some Christians believe that Jesus is God, if this is so, when Jesus directly spoke to his disciples, they should have been referred to as Prophets. It seems that out of the 13 (Jesus and his disciples) the only one that was called a Prophet is Jesus himself : Nevertheless I (Jesus) must walk to day, and tomorrow, and the [day] following: for it cannot be that a Prophet perish out of Jerusalem. Luke 13:33 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A Prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. Matthew 13:57 also in Mark 6:4, Luke 4:24, John 4:43 Jesus refers to himself as a Prophet, Others also called Jesus a Prophet but Never called his disciples A group of Prophets Jesus was called a Prophet by others: And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet. Matthew 14:5 And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee. Matthew 21:11 But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet. Matthew 21:46 And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people: Luke 24:19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. John 4:19 Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world.John 6:14 Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet. John 7:40 How much more should i show.... open your hearts guys, and accept God, and glorify him as his messengers told us to do. God is great, HE is the one we should worship, and to him we will be returned... For there is One God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. (I Timothy 2:5) Jesus (as) the Messenger of God I stood between the Lord and you to declare to you the word of the Lord... (Deuteronomy 5:5) Moses (as) the Messenger of God ...let it be known this day that you are God in Israel, thatI am your servant, and that I have done all thses things at your command. (1 Kings 18:36) Elijah (as) the Messenger of God And so on... until today with Mohammad (pbuh) the last Messenger of God confirming all previous scriptures as they all did in each of their respective times! I wish you all a blessed week
