Was asked, So, have you ever, even just for the smallest infinitesimal moment, ever become sooo fed up with Facebook that you considered leaving? Yes and no. YES, there was a time I expected to leave Facebook. Initially, I signed on for the networking, expecting to get bored with it and quit as soon as I got the gist of how it works. And like most people, I learned the ins-and-outs of the platform fairly quickly. NO. Im still here. I came for the networking and stayed for the social. Facebook is not a good fit for some people. I get that. Some people require more physicality in their worlds. Im not that way. Im a people person but not PEOPLE PERSON Some of you, get that drift. Whats sooo fed up? Fed up with what? Changes in the platform? Sometimes the platform does kind of suck -- the algorithms and all that... And whenever theres a major change, *everybody* does their major whining. More sooner than later, everybody gets used to it, and likes it the way things are, again, until the next time things change. There are ways to get around most of the stuff we dont like about Fb. Fed up with friends? Youre an awesome bunch. Ive whittled and honed my connections. So have most of you. When anyone complains that everyone on the internet is fake -- or that the content on Facebook sucks -- my response to that is: Thats not all Facebooks fault. Facebook plays with order and importance. Facebook does not generate content. The Pages you Like, the groups you belong to and the friends you choose to remain connected to is how the content you get is generated. If you dont like the content, youre getting, maybe you suck at choosing friends. Or, maybe youre just good at looking for the suck in everything. Facebook is just a platform. I cannot imagine being so frustrated with one or a few people, on it, that Id quit everyone I know who has become a part of my life. That would be like getting in a fight with one person and becoming a hermit because of it. To me, leaving Facebook would mean leaving all of you. People who have become a part of my life. Life is like a whole buncha stuff. What matters most in life is what I decide matters most in life ... and heres a picture of a cat https://facebook/photo.php?fbid=484640091620559 ... and this is water. youtu.be/DKYJVV7HuZw
