Was at a lunch for a friends birthday in Palm Springs-- 8 of us were seated at a round table inside a lovely restaurant--- I knew all but a few of the people in attendance -- A wonderful beginning-- wine flowing, food delicious- 81 degrees-- Anyway, suddenly one of the guys I didnt know, changed the subject and started to go on about our beloved Judy-- How he had heard some of the radio interviews done in 69, also, her Christmas episode of TJGS-- He went on and on, --his opinion of how how he saw her behavior-- I wont go into detail-- bla bla bla-- the happy group suddenly got silent-- all heads turns towards me-- wondering what my reaction would be... I delighted in his nervous wonderment on what was happening-- Not wanting to dominate the happy birthday meal-- I calmly wiped my chin with my napkin, stood my ground and corrected his errors-- he pulled into his shell-- Next I changed the subject to Lucille Ball-- and managed to restore the peace.. Whew!
