Was at the Puyallup show yesterday and today. Beastly day yesterday: had a ring time at 10:15, then they moved it to 12:45, then they moved our ring and changed judges for the 2nd time and we had to follow a bunch of chows who kept peeing at the entrance to the ring. Not piddles, but Great Lake size pees. Really! We didnt show til 1:45. UGH. Blitzen kept his cool better than me and we picked up Reserve Winners Dog . . . today he was 2nd . . . but I have a couple of concrete things to work on to help us shine. Im feeling determined . . . for now . . . to keep myself sane in this very weird show world Im going to start a blog about my experiences the past 13 months. Since Im a performance gal, I get a lot of questions about how I put up with the show world . . . there is something quite fascinating about it (not always in a good way) and sometimes I feel like Ive been given a part in a soap opera. Or, like Im witnessing episodes of What Not to Wear. Its all quite funny and I guess that is the compelling part. Im learning a lot about Schipperkes so that, really, is the MOST compelling part. Always good to broaden ones horizons. Plus, the shopping is most excellent at the larger shows. :)
