Was compelled to put this warning out there for some. We cannot only and always say wonderful, beautiful and pleasant things because sometimes warnings and admonitions or even rebukes or in order...not to condemn but to give cause towards repentance for life! 15‘I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. 16‘So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth. 17‘Because you say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked, Notice that is says you do not know! This admonition is NOT written for the lost but for those who have believed but have not followed the Lord in the obedience of the faith so as to overcome in their lifetime. These are carnal or worldly children who have not believed so far as to have been circumcised by the Spirit, cut off from the world and sanctified unto God. 19‘Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. There is a similar inference which is also often misapplied towards unbelievers but it too is a warning for believers. Matthew 8:12but the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” This is not about unbelievers but rather those who did not believe unto entering through the narrow gate and walking along the constricted path. (Refusing to carry their own cross so as to follow the Lord out from the self life in the world.) Also, outer darkness here does not refer to the lake of fire but is speaking of being outside of the light of the glory of God and thus the phrase, OUTER darkness. Many children of light yet walk in darkness in their lives in the world because they are unwilling to lose their life in the world. They instead keep or hang onto their lives and cherish themselves and their place, position, status, their beauty, intellect, wit, wealth, glory among men, pleasures and many other things associated with that life and living in the world. The weeping and gnashing of teeth indicates regret and bitter consternation and anger. I believe these will immediately recognize they should and COULD have obeyed but constantly rejected and grieved the Spirit by seeking their own will and pleasures in the world as opposed to Moses who considered the reproach of Christ as greater treasure than the wealth of Egypt (the world). There are many other portions which also present this same message of admonition such as the parable of the 10 virgins. That they are virgins and have lamps with oil in them means they are believers and have the indwelling Spirit as the oil which lights the lamp (the human spirit). There we 5 prudent who obeyed unto receiving the filling (oil in reserve) of the Spirit and 5 who were foolish thinking simply having the indwelling Spirit was sufficient. They lived only in the present world and not in and towards the kingdom. Thus they were unwilling to pay the price for the filling of the Spirit to the full. This means they were unwilling to die to self and to the world, loving the lord with all and counting all as loss for the GAINING of the Lord to the full. They were advised to go and purchase oil for themselves (to lose all to gain all) because no one can pay the cost for someone else. The sons of light and sons of day MUST become sober and alert noth for now and for the coming day of the Lord. Hosanna, Lord Jesus. Save now to the full..plete in Christ, dressed in readiness in the Holy Spirit.
