Was discussing nutrition and supplements on a rather interesting thread last night and was told that whether something works or does what it says or not isnt important, what is important is personal preference.... Now there are many products and methods out there, some work better than others, some work for some people and not for others, but there are also products and methods out there that simply have no science whatsoever to back up their claims, some that work but not in a sustainable or healthy way, and some that are downright dangerous. I tried, in vain it seems, to explain that just because you choose to follow a certain program, or you like something doesnt mean that it a) works b) you understand how it works c) how it works is good for you. Personal preference based on a lack of knowledge or understanding of a product or method is at best a way to be ripped off, and at worst can leave you with serious health issues. Knowledge is key. Always.
