Was excited last week to attend ribbon cutting and dedication of new Federal Courthouse in downtown SLC. Appreciated Chief Judge Ted Stewarts remarks and handling of introductions, very much enjoyed Judge Tena Campbells remarks and those of the rest of the speakers, including Congressman Chris Stewart and Senator Orrin Hatch. Pleased to sit next to former Magistrate Judge Sam Alba, who co-chaired along with Judge Campbell the building project for over twenty years. So good to see many judges from the district and appellate courts, state and federal, at the event. When the majority of federal judges before whom I have appeared throughout my career are all gathered in a single spot, it is meaningful.
