Was having a chat with a friend yesterday who was trying to give me advise... now no offense to her but she does not qualify as a mentor to me...I explained to her the people that I choose to guide me in life must have in some way have walked the same path as me so you have a good understanding of the challenges I face....if you have never had children, dont tell me how to raise mine, if youve never been married, dont tell me how to run a marriage, granted Ive been married almost 20 years & I have a great understanding of what is needed in a relationship, if youve never pursued your dreams to start your own business please dont tell me how to go about it. In the same way I would never seek to counsel a drug addict or someone in an abusive relationship because I have no experience of it....choose mentors in life from people who attained the success you desire. Currently I am on a health journey so the energy I surround myself with is people who are choosing a healthier lifestyle too & so I learn from them what you need to do to Succeed & you will always find Winners have no problem helping others succeed because you dont win alone you only win when everyone around you is winning too. Look closely at the top 5 people you spending time with as that is who you will become.
