Was having a great time at the lake. I will post pics of the great times in a bit or later. After seeing this video, I thought Id share our last day there and the fiasco that occurred after a very unexpected natural disaster hit us. I actually was away at the bathroom building when it happened but from what I gathered from my friends and the other campers a very large dirt devil (sand in this case) came out of no where and hit our lake front campsite. It picked up a 15 ft aluminum canoe and tossed it across the beach from a few sites over and just destroyed my camp site. It leveled two tents, smashed Roadies make shift tent and nearly took out two other campers and a child before crashing into my site. This mini twister immediately ripped out the stakes in my canopy I had set up for shade and WHILE Roadie was leashed to it, it flew 40ft from the site before finally crashing down and slamming roadie back down to earth. Everyone who saw it told me he flew about 8-10ft high and flew across 40ft before he crashed back down! He was visibly shaken up when I returned to find everyone in a eerie zombie like and confused manner. Everyone was just gathering their belongings that had blow around us. Roadie is fine after all that and although a really good friend of mine was in shock and eventually broke down about it later, it really could have been much worse. It could have killed two Ladies who dodged the canoe just barely and my friends daughter who was almost in the way and yes it most certainly could have killed or seriously injured Roadie getting thrown like that. Im just glad what this video shows didnt happen while going over and through a fire pit or anything.
