Was having a pretty good time today.......then got back to Jamestown and walked into a local business. .......burnt out from being on a run all day just wanted to use the bathroom. ....get a cold drink and sit and cool off.........when someone I never expected it from started yelling insults about my handicap and what he was gonna do to me with my prosthetic. .....obviously trying to impress the people at his table with his sense of humor......but totally embarrassing me...humiliating me .....and degrading me......I was stunned ......I know I am handicapped but sometimes you can forget it as it is embarrassing enough just to be in this shape and to lose your way of life as you know it when they amputate a leg.........a person does not need another person to make a point of it the way it was done today......... Fot over a year no one has made reference to my handicap in the way and manner it was done today. .......I was EVEN more embarrassed and humiliated when I found out who was sitting at the table when he was yelling the insults to me. .......guess I will stay away for awhile ........humiliation can haunt a person for awhile as it never goes away........m
