Was it a coincidence that Jesus (pbuh) foretold to come after Him was described as one who "shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear that shall he speak" - John 16:13 Was it also a coincidence that was also described as one in whose mouth God will put his words and that he will speak in the name of God - Deuteronomy 18:18-20 Lastly in Isaiah its stated "Then the book is delivered to one who is illiterate saying, "Read this, please" and he says "I am not literate..." - Isaiah 29:12 And as we know Muhammad (pbuh) was illiterate when the Quran got revealed to him by Gabriel.. "He was forty in the year was 610AD. He was is a deep concentration in the cave. The Angel Jibril appeared, with a dazzling light. “Read!” the voice boomed echoing against the walls of the cave. Muhammad (pbuh) was so startled the only thing that he could think of saying was “I can not read.” This was true he did not know how to read or write. “Read!” commanded the voice again, louder. Muhammad (pbuh) was desperate, pain had seized his chest. He cried out again “I cannot read!” Muhammad (pbuh) chest was squeezing even harder and he was frantic. “Read!” boomed the angel. Muhammad (pbuh) wanting the pain inside of him to stop he said “What should I read?” The pain stopped. The Angel continued "Read! In the Name of Your Lord, Who has created all that exists, has created a man from a clot. Read...and your Lord is the Most Generous, Who has taught the writing by the pen, and has taught man that which he knew not." - 96:1-5 (Quran)
