May be because English has taken over as the official language of the country/world; may be because people who have different mother tongue than Hindi and English, prefer English over Hindi; may be Hindi is limited to the northern belt of the nation; may be the youth is much addicted to Hindi. What surprises today is Hindi stories in English Jubaan. Another surprising fact is translated books from German, Portuguese etc are doing equally good in the market. Has Hindi lost its ground along with its author or writing in Hindi has turned out of fashion? The question that haunts me today is Can we ever have another Premchand of Hindi?
