Was just stopped by the police. Was standing on the corner of Geary, after visiting Danny Dechi. They saw me smoking too close to the bus stop, then throwing the butt into the street. Two patrol cars pulled up. Pointed out my filthy error and asked to see my ID. I put on my British accent, which would surely make me seem innocent in terms of my unfamiliarality with local smoking ordinance. I gave them my California ID, and offered my National Health Card and passport, which they declined. They ran my ID, telling me theres a Steven Green wanted by the Feds. Dont know if that was true or if they were winding me up. Things got lighter as the driver asked me where I was from in London. I said, Notting Hill, near Shepards Bush W11. They allowed me to joke with them, after I told them I was growing my hair long for a film role. My bus arrived, they handed back my ID and I got on the bus. I kept the British accent the entire time. Suckers.
