Was just thumbing through a book I purchased sometime back, titled "The World Was Going Our Way", by Vasili Mitrokhin & Christopher Andrew, (Basic Books, New York, 1st Ed., 2005). It has also been published under the title "The Mitrokhin Archives". Mitrokhin was an archivist in the KGB who defected to Britain in 1991 after the demise of the Soviet Union. A very readable passage from the book ON THE INTEGRITY OF THE INDIAN MEDIA: "India under Indira Gandhi was also probably the arena for more KGB active measures than anywhere else in the world......According to KGB files, by 1973 it had ten Indian newspapers on its payroll (which cannot be identified for legal reasons) as well as a press agency under its control. During 1972 the KGB claimed to have planted 3,789 articles in Indian newspapers-probably more than any other country in the non-Communist world. According to its files the number fell to 2,782 in 1973 but rose to 4,486 in 1974 and 5,510 in 1975". (p. 324) THAT MEANS PLANTING AN ASTOUNDING NUMBER OF 16,545 ARTICLES BETWEEN 1972 AND 1975 ACROSS THE LENGTH AND BREADTH OF INDIA SPANNING ALL ITS LANGUAGES! IT ALSO MEANS THAT THE CONGRESS IS CAPABLE OF DOING THIS TODAY, BECAUSE THEY MUST HAVE BEEN IN THE KNOW WHEN KGB WAS DOING THIS FOR THEIR SAKE! And we, Nationalists, do not have a single media!
