Was just walking from TajmahalRoad to SalimullahRoad. There were Speakers on the streets of some উড়শ শরিফ going on at our area. The speaker I dont know who it was was talking about JIHAD and his speech was somewhat like this. এহুদিদের কুত্তা আমেরিকান-রা আমাদের মুসলিমদের বিরুধ্যে যেই চক্রান্ত করছে, আমাদের একত্র হয়ে মকাবেলা করতে হবে। আর কত মুসলিম ভাই-বন প্রান হারাবে? আমাদের এখন সময় এসেছে একত্র হবার এবং প্রতিআক্রমণ করার। আমাদের এখন সময় এসেছে ইসলাম কে রক্ষা করার। I was a bit taken aback by the speech and took a long time to think about what he said. Then some thoughts came in my mind First of all Islam is peace. If I have to protect Islam, and also have Jihad I must sacrifice any thing possible for the respect of Islam. Religion comes first. Thus if my religion tells me to spread peace a few lives of our own can later prove that we are harmless and peaceful people. Striking jet planes on World Trade Center or Throwing Cocktails at Public places does not promote Islam in minds of peace loving people. It wont get you a Noble Prize for Peace. It creates fear. I am not taking sides of USA but what Taliban has done is in no way a noble deed and for their aggressive behavior the Western world take the liberty to invade Muslim countries in the name of establishment of peace. We should come together as a society to promote Islam through peace and also raise voice again such Evil people who makes Islam as their shield and manipulate young Madrasa Students and common villagers to convert into terrorists.
