Was listening to NPR on the ride home and they were interviewing Yakoff Smirnoff about his comedy career in the former Soviet Union and his career here in the 70s and 80s. Right after the Soviet Union disintegrated David Letterman came out with a top ten about how the world would change, and number one on the list was, Yakoff Smirnoffs career will end. I thought it was funny at the time, but sadly it turned out to be true. After my shows in Las Vegas were cancelled I decided to go somewhere where they were unaware that the Cold war had ended; Branson Missouri.- Yakov Smirnoff
