Was sad to learn of Tommy Ramones passing. He was the only member of the Ramones with whom weve ever had the pleasure of sharing the stage. My dad sent me this story yesterday, brought a smile to my face thinking back on the experience. Ward, can you recall the day I met another guy about my age on the back porch of the Basement, (a combo record store and performance place) in Nashville. I had no idea who he was, and we talked and joked about all kinds of stuff other than music. When we parted he asked me why I was there, and I explained my sons band is playing here today. At that point we shook hands and he said, have a good time, and tell your son Tommy Ramone says hello.
