Was saddened to learn of the passing of Gary Gage/aka Uncle Gary this weekend. The man helped to shape me into the person I am today. A gifted player himself, he offered encouragement, insight, and often gear to help a young guitarist develop. That was his essence: A giving, caring, loving soul, who would give you the shirt off his back and go without himself. Over the years, I witnessed his generosity in action again and again. And we jammed, even growing multi-generational as the kids joined the mix. Although it had been longer than I would have intended since our last session, I always looked forward to the time spent. As deeply saddened as I am over his passing, I am equally blessed for his presence and influence in my life. Please direct thoughts, prayers, and positive energy toward his immediate family in this time of loss.
