Was sitting on the porch last night and saw a giant glow of light as big as the moon fall slowly to the ground... not like a shooting star, but a ball of light, slowly dropping. Turns out it WAS a meteor. I have never seen anything so large drop out of the sky so smoothly! Here is a link and some comments from some sightings across the US and the world....
