Was supposed to be a sweet post...turned into a rant...not sorry - TopicsExpress

Was supposed to be a sweet post...turned into a rant...not sorry for it, as the more I wrote the angrier I got... Kandy had a CT scan earlier this week. We felt it could be something bad. The doctor told us yesterday; other than a few tiny stones in her kidney; they found no masses of any type. We celebrated. I saw an Enbrel commercial when we got home. It helps to stop pain; mostly arthritis. One of its possible side effects is lymphoma. Let me tell you 2 things: 1) there is NO pain that you can have thats worth the risk of getting cancer & 2) nothing sold in a GNC store or health food store is going to stop you from getting cancer. Not anything. NOTHING. All cancers except lymphoma are on the decline because of early detection. Period. Lymphoma, Mesothelioma and a few others can be created by environmental products. If you think foods with GMOs are worth the risk; then Im happy my cancer hospital, The James, is moving into a new building with more floors, rooms and research labs so you can ingest foods made with some of the same chemicals as are in Roundup, agent orange and a few other DuPont & Monsanto chemicals. You should also know the following: In 2007 presidential campaigner Obama mentioned that the department of agriculture wasn’t a department of agribusiness and he promised to put people’s need ahead of financial interests. However he elected officials in charge of USDA or FDA that have been defending, lobbying or working for biotech companies like Monsanto and DuPont:- Michael Taylor: Former VP in Monsanto who is now FDA deputy food commissioner- Tom Vilsack: Former pro-biotechnology governor of Iowa that was assigned as USDA secretary. - Roger Beachy: Former director of Monsanto who is now director of USDA- Elena Kagan: Took Monsanto’s side against organic farmers in Roundup Ready Alfalfa case and is now on the Supreme Court - Rajiv Shah: Former director of pro-biotech Gates Foundation who served as USDA secretary - Linda Strachan: Monsanto’s and DuPont’s representative who is assistant secretary for U.S. Department of Agriculture and EPA - Islam Siddiqui: Former DuPont and Monsanto VP who is now the representative of agriculture negotiator for US trade - Ramona Romero: Corporate console to DuPont that now is nominated as General Counsel for USDA. In 2002 based on the Institute of Political Economy Research DuPont was marked the number one among 100 of contributors to air pollution in the US. You see why I dislike both democrats and republicans now: they dont represent the public and our Supreme Court is the worst ever: it goes to the highest bidder!
