Was talking with a friend the other day reminiscing about Live Aid for whatever reason, and we both realized that this year is the 30th anniversary. #Oldmentalking Back then, my 15 year old self was in full headbanger mode, and I recall me and the fellas being disappointed that Black Sabbath and Judas Priest only got 3 songs each, even though thats just about what everyone got. And how quick Run DMCs set was, on and off before you knew it. I dont think at the time I had a real appreciation for how awesome of a music event it was. It was the first time I really noticed U2 (Bad is still my favorite song of theirs), and even though at the time I wasnt the biggest Queen fan, It was hard not to be in awe of their performance, I just knew The Who were going to play Baba ORiley, and then they didnt. Looking at the set list.....in what alternate reality does it make sense to have Crosby Stills & Nash and Duran Duran play AFTER the Led Zeppelin reunion??
