Was thinking today about the new year ahead...Pastor Copeland was talking yesterday about how this is the Shemitah year...the Seventh year...all of our major economic collapses have occurred in a Shemitah year. Also 911 was the Shemitah year. This past year I made a new commitment to God concerning my entire life...everything is about Him...where I choose to go to church, what I put into His temple, what days of the week I choose to work, what business ventures I choose to be a part of, even what movies I choose to watch. You see, God has been calling me out of mediocrity into holiness and righteousness. Its not a matter of my salvation having anything to do with works, but a conscious decision to have my life become a reflection of HIM in everything that I do. This coming year may hold many challenges for the Christian in particular, but the less we are holding on to, the higher we can rise above the circumstances around us. Dont hold so tightly to things this year...hold tight to HIM this year! Make Him your priority...in every thing give Him thanks.
