Was told Im a moral relativist who keeps moving the goalpost when it comes to special rights. Firstly, theres no goalpost. Theres not even a game. There are rights which some have and the struggles to achieve those rights for those who do not have them. Secondly, I dont move anything. Its always been and always will be about fairness and equality. If theres any goal its that one group does not get to impede another group from having the same rights it has. Equal rights, relativistic rights should never be afforded in situations where one party is able to abuse another party or where a second party cannot give consent to the first partys actions. But abuse is legally definable. Its not relativistic. And definition of abuse exists separate from moral condemnation. There is no slippery slope from LGBT to worse and those who use absolutism to define what slope means in order to keep others from having the same rights they have should not have the legal right to do so.
