Was told by my daughter Alex awhile ago that Anderson Cooper was at the vicinity of the Redemptorist Church and told me I should have his book Dispatches From The Edge that I bought two years ago be signed by him. Im too shy to do it so I opted out. My mom, being a fan of Gloria Vanderbilt (ACs mom) would have wanted to see him had she been well enough, as shes in the hospital right now. So I told them the bottomline: AC is not one to bask in the honor of being born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He may have come from a very rich family but he lost his dad at a young age and watched his mom spiral into depression after seeing ACs brother commit suicide. In short, AC can very well relate with tragedy because his family had multiple tragedies in his life. So Mr. AC, if you can read this, you admire our resilience but we admire your dedication to your job and emotional stability in your familys tragic history.
