Was too sore to get much accomplished today, tried but was not long to say forget this nonsence! Went for a walk this evening & it is a jungle growing out there. Hay field is over head high in several spots & fescue is getting close to knee high under the jonson grass. Looks like next cutting will make as much as all of last year. Over in the woods it looks more like june, except for what is blooming. Not alot of things are blooming yet but things are about to explode. Sure seems like the last of sept. instead of mid aug. The passion fruit usealy does its thang from now till frost, but the stuff is everywhere & been out since june. Like the 3rd time around for it, if person like stomping on round green things to hear em pop, well you could go nuts this year! Probly what folks did before bubble wrap while in a popping frenzy. Walked out of the house the other morn to be greeted by a sea of red flowing towards the trees. All kinds of birds with red on them, never seen so many cardinals in one spot. Some bird was calling out ahead of me on my walk. Sounded like a setting hen frightened off her nest. Sort of sounded like a pileated woodpecker but wasnt, it called for a quarter mile like that but I couldnt catch a glimps, of course the grass was head high wasnt much of a chance to see anything. Was a loud anoying bird for sure. Reckon it be time to call it a day, hope tomarrow to get more done. Will see what the day brings.
