Was walking up the stairs in our hotel for dinner in Mekkah when I came across a man laying on one of the stairs, surrounded by his companions. He couldnt move his right arm and was in obvious pain. I inquired what happened and they said he fell. I examined him and found that he had a dislocated right shoulder. I gave him his options, and he preferred to have it put back in on the spot. So we sat him up in a chair on one the landings between the stairs. I took off my thoub and wrapped it around him and had a brother hold it to steady him, and then said Bismillah and put the shoulder back in Alhamdulillah. First time I did it without giving sedatives or pain medications (or outside of the ER for that matter) and MashaAllah, the brother tolerated it like a champ. He was a French Algerian, treated by an Indian American, in Mekkah, Saudi Arabia, while communicating in Arabic. Alhamdulillah for the blessing of Islam and through Whose bounty good deeds are performed. #HajjImamByDay #DoctorByNight #Hajj2014 #SweetnessofHajj #Hajj
