Job Description The Groundskeeper maintains lawns, flower beds, shrubs, trees, and property facilities. Performs basic grounds keeping and landscape maintenance duties. Performs related duties as assigned. Specific duties may vary depending upon assignment. The Groundskeeper will also assist the maintenance supervisor in maintenance related tasks. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum Qualifications: * One year of work experience performing gardening or grounds keeping work. * Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent. * Pool Operator 1 (one) certificate or an acceptable equivalent. * Ability to operate hand tools and equipment used in grounds keeping such as lawnmower, weedeater, shears, trimmer, etc. * Ability to follow detailed oral/written instructions. * Ability to operate a motor vehicle. * Ability to operate various hand and power tools. * Deal effectively with co-workers and the public. * Walk, stand, and kneel for prolonged periods, climb a ladder.
